CTP safety switch with guard locking

The CTP series from Euchner is a compact, transponder-coded safety switch with integrated guard locking, used to monitor and lock movable guards on machines. A coded RFID actuator gives high protection against tampering, and the locking function is available as spring-force locking or solenoid-force locking, so the guard is either held until power is applied or held only while energized. The device is intended for safety functions up to Performance Level e and Category 4 according to ISO 13849-1 when combined with a suitable safety evaluation unit. Variants provide redundant safety outputs, a diagnostic output, and optional escape or emergency release. The housing is compact, with several actuator approach directions and a choice of connector or cable outlet. Typical applications include machine tools, packaging machines, robot cells, and assembly lines where operators must be protected from hazardous movements that continue after a stop command.
