SENC 150 precision linear encoder scale

The ACU-RITE SENC 150 is a linear glass scale encoder intended for use with ACU-RITE digital readout systems on machine tools such as manual mills, lathes and grinders. It uses a glass scale with a fine optical grating read by a sealed scanning head, which gives accurate and repeatable measurement of axis position. The scale is sealed against coolant, chips and oil using lips that wipe contaminants away from the glass. Output is a TTL square wave signal with a resolution that is available in several options, and a reference mark on the scale allows the zero position to be restored after power off. Scale lengths are offered in a series of standard steps. The SENC 150 is commonly mounted with a mounting bracket and cable assembly to the machine bed and carriage. Typical applications include retrofit of manual machines, toolroom work, small CNC conversions and any installation where accurate position display and positioning to the micron range is needed.
