SIRIUS 3RW55 high-performance soft starter

The SIRIUS 3RW55 is a soft starter from Siemens aimed at demanding motor starting applications. It offers a rated operational current range from 29 A up to 1214 A in the standard version, for supply voltages of 200 to 480 V or 400 to 600 V. It integrates a bypass, motor protection, and torque-controlled starting and stopping, with pump stopping and braking features. The device has a graphic display for commissioning and diagnostics, with a communication interface (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP, Modbus) via a plug-in module. A failsafe version is available for safety-related shut-down. Applications include pumps, compressors, conveyors, fans and crushers where the starting current and torque have to be limited.
