Flex Couplings elastomeric shaft connector assembly

SKF offers elastic shaft couplings in its coupling range, including the Flex line, in which two metal hubs transmit torque through a flexible elastomer element. The elastomer damps torsional vibration and shock loads and tolerates small angular, radial and axial misalignment, which relieves bearings and seals on the connected machines. The couplings need no lubrication and are maintenance-free, and the elastomer is replaced when worn without moving the connected machines in the case of spider-type designs. Hubs are bored to order or supplied pre-bored, with keyway and set screws or clamping connection. Typical applications are electric motors driving pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors.
