Monster Light LED ring light assembly

The Monster Light from Spectrum Illumination is a high output LED ring light assembly for machine vision inspection. The ring form factor surrounds the camera lens and gives bright, even, shadow reducing front illumination. Its high intensity output allows short exposures, which helps freeze motion on fast production lines, and suits long working distances where standard ring lights lack brightness. Housings are typically machined aluminium with a diffuser or lens window, and the light can be driven continuously or strobed through a compatible controller to increase peak intensity. Colour options such as white, red, blue, green and infrared are generally offered, as are different ring diameters, so the lighting can be matched to the part contrast. Mounting is by brackets around the lens, with a cable connecting to an external power supply or controller.
