CA-DR Series high-intensity LED illumination unit

CA-DR is the ring-light family within Keyence’s CA-D series of LED lighting for machine vision. Models are designated by colour and size, for example CA-DRW9 (white direct ring light 90-50) or CA-DRR5 (red direct ring light 50-28), and include direct ring, flat ring (CA-DRx4F, CA-DRx10F) and multi-angle ring (CA-DRx8M, CA-DRx13M) types in red, white or blue. The high-intensity group, CA-DRW5X, CA-DRW10X and CA-DRW20X, is designed for Keyence’s LumiTrax imaging, where segments of the ring flash in sequence so the vision controller can reconstruct shape and texture images, and the multi-spectrum CA-DRM models add selectable wavelengths from UV (405 nm) to IR (860 nm). Most lights run on 12 V DC and are powered and strobed by Keyence CA-DC lighting controllers or directly from CV-X and XG-X controllers. Ring lights mount concentrically around the camera lens and give even, shadow-reduced illumination for inspection of labels, printed characters, surface defects and assembled parts.
