ACS580 general-purpose machinery VFD

The ACS580 is ABB’s general-purpose AC drive for controlling three-phase induction motors and, in some versions, permanent magnet and synchronous reluctance motors. The ACS580-01 wall-mounted version covers a power range of roughly 0.75 to 250 kW at 380 to 480 V, with other voltage and mounting variants in the series. Features include a built-in common mode and EMC filter, built-in choke for harmonic reduction, a Bluetooth-capable assistant control panel, and standard embedded Modbus RTU with optional fieldbus adapters for Ethernet based protocols. Safe torque off is included as standard. The drive uses a common user interface with other ABB all-compatible drives, which cuts training and commissioning time. Typical applications are pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, mixers and other machinery in water treatment, HVAC, food and beverage, and general industry, where simple, reliable speed control and energy saving are needed.
