FR-A800 high-functionality VFD series

The FREQROL FR-A800 is Mitsubishi Electric’s top-end general-purpose inverter series, with FR-A820 models for 200 V and FR-A840/FR-A842/FR-A846 models for 400 V supply, covering small drives up to several hundred kilowatts. It supports V/f, advanced magnetic flux vector, real sensorless vector and encoder-feedback vector control of induction motors as well as PM and IPM motors, giving high starting torque and fast speed response for cranes, winders, machine tools and conveyors. A built-in PLC function lets simple sequences run in the drive, and dedicated functions cover crane anti-sway, load characteristic monitoring and PID control. Safe torque off is built in, and option cards add PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, CC-Link IE and other networks; dedicated variants include FR-A800-E with Ethernet, FR-A800-GN and FR-A800-AWH for automated warehouses, and the later FR-A800 Plus series. Long-life components and life diagnosis support predictive maintenance. FR Configurator2 software is used for setup and monitoring.
