EZ-SCREEN LS safety light curtain

The EZ-SCREEN LS is a safety light curtain family from Banner Engineering, intended for guarding the point of operation on machines and the perimeter of hazardous areas. It is a Type 4 device in compliance with IEC 61496 and achieves Category 4 and Performance Level e under ISO 13849 when applied correctly. A light curtain consists of a transmitter and receiver, creating a protective field of infrared beams, and the machine stops when a beam is interrupted. The LS has a slim housing, with finger and hand resolution options and a range of protected heights from about 150 mm to 1800 mm. Features include automatic or manual reset, external device monitoring, and scan code selection, with a diagnostic display on the receiver. Typical applications are press brakes, assembly machines, robot cells, packaging machinery and material handling stations.
