The HG-KR series is Mitsubishi Electric’s low-inertia, small-capacity rotary servo motor line introduced with the MELSERVO-J4 platform. Models HG-KR053, 13, 23, 43 and 73 cover rated outputs of 50, 100, 200, 400 and 750 W, with rated speed of 3,000 r/min and maximum speed of 6,000 r/min, in 40, 60 and 80 mm square flanges. Each motor carries a 22-bit absolute encoder (4,194,304 pulses per revolution), and the battery-backed absolute system lets machines restart without homing. Options include an electromagnetic holding brake (B suffix), oil seal, key shaft, and versions with G1 and G7 precision planetary gear reducers. Compared with the medium-inertia HG-MR, the HG-KR is suited to loads with higher inertia ratios. Motors connect to MR-J4 or MR-J4W multi-axis amplifiers via dedicated power and encoder cables such as MR-J3ENCBL□M-A1/A2, and are also supported by MELSERVO-J5 drives. Typical applications are pick-and-place axes, small conveyors, indexing tables, packaging and semiconductor equipment.
