MOVIMOT advanced is a decentralised drive unit from SEW-Eurodrive that integrates a frequency inverter directly on a DR.. motor or a gearmotor, removing the need for a separate cabinet-mounted drive. It covers motors from roughly 0.37 kW to 3 kW in the advanced version, with a wide input voltage range and optional features such as an integrated brake control, safe torque off and mains disconnection. It is parameterised through a web server or software and supports fieldbus options such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and Modbus. The unit is suited to conveyors, roller drives and storage and retrieval systems, where several drives are installed along a line and short cable runs reduce wiring cost.
