VeriSens XC Series vision sensor

The VeriSens XC series from Baumer is a family of compact vision sensors that capture images, process them and deliver results, all in one housing. The sensors are programmed through a browser based software with a step by step set-up, using detectors for tasks such as presence, contour matching, measurement, colour, bar code and data code reading, and text recognition. Different models in the XC family provide various resolutions and optics, with some offering a built-in illumination and a C-mount or fixed lens. Connection is made through Ethernet and a digital I/O interface, and results can be sent to PLCs using protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and TCP/IP. The housing is rugged and sealed. Typical applications are quality control in assembly, verification of packaging, inspection of electronic parts, and positioning for robots in automotive, electronics and food industries.
